Ozark Pyrotechnics, INC (OPI) is located on 60 acres in the beautiful Southern Missouri Ozarks that are dedicated to filling the sky with color, light, and sound with fireworks, and all things that go BOOM. By the way, we're proud to be bred, born, and raised Ozarks Hillbillies too! Licensed to manufacture pyrotechnics and High Explosives, OPI manufactures and tests many types of fireworks and explosives. We are also licensed to import, distribute, and sell year round, pyrotechnic products.

At our testing area we test various explosives as well as combat and battlefield survival and lifesaving devices. We also produce pyrotechnic special effects for those wanting a specific look for their event.

OPI also holds a "fun with guns and explosives" event we call, THUNDER IN THE HILLS Dynamite Shoot, to be held regularly twice a year, and for special events. Participants get to shoot guns at High Explosive targets. Like shooting at dynamite, you will know when you hit one of our targets. The ground will shake ... you will feel the thump in your chest! Cars in the parking lot move, and the explosions can be heard for miles.

The owner of OPI has had a lifelong passion for fireworks, from a kid stomping on dud firecrackers to make them go "boom", to making "real" fireworks and colored fire starting around 1982, while living in Japan. This business is the result of that passion, beginning initially with conducting firework shows for private parties, and seasonal Consumer Firework sales from a highway side stand, to now year round CONSUMER FIREWORK sales.
